House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.
The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.
Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.
The Cognac Prunier Petite Champagne 1983 is a so-called Cognac ''Brut de fût'', i.e. a Cognac that has been bottled at its natural degree. After being distilled in a still and aged in a damp cellar until 1995, this cuvée is thus an exceptional reflection of the heritage of the most precious crus of the Prunier family.
To the eye, this Cognac has an amber color with coppery highlights, the sign of prolonged aging. On the nose, an explosion of sophisticated fragrances unfolds: notes of honey, beeswax and fruit Secs, enriched by hints of tobacco and leather, bring depth and complexity Rare to the whole. As it airs, Cognac reveals new nuances, between the elegance of candied orange and the subtlety of vanilla.
On the palate, it stands out for its perfect balance between power and sweetness. The unctuous texture and aromas of candied fruit, prune and toast harmonize with remarkable finesse. The well-melted, lightly spiced tannins offer a velvety sensation that extends into a long, persistent finish, marked by notes of nutmeg and coffee.
