House Prunier is located in Cognac with 250 years of history spanning more than two centuries. Since 1769, House Prunier has been making its mark alongside the great names of Cognac.
The first traces of the Prunier family date back to 1701, but it wasn't until 1769 that bottling and export activities really got underway at Cognac, as the old labels on Prunier bottles testify.
Across the ages, the 1850 building has seen each generation grow up. The walls, like photographs, carry the family memory. Even today, this building is the soul of Maison Prunier.
A journey back in time through one of the oldest crus of Cognac. Produced exclusively from Richemont land in the heart of the Borderies, this 1975 vintage comes from old vines planted in the 1940s, which disappeared shortly after their historic harvest.
Distilled in a small 20 hectoliter alembic, this Cognac has rested for almost 50 years in a temperate cellar, without any tricks or adjustments. It was bottled at its natural degree of 43.3% vol. in February 2025, in a strictly limited edition, to guarantee the authenticity of this Rare.
La robe has a light bronze hue, with an elegant sheen.
On the nose, aromatic finesse asserts itself: a subtle alliance of noble rancio, hazelnut, walnut and fresh almond, enriched by delicate floral notes and a hint of orange peel in the background, all carried by a delicate tannic structure.
On the palate, the attack is precise and enveloping, evoking flavors of toffee and dark chocolate. The palate evolves on a powerful structure, without excess, revealing great depth. Perfectly blended tannins support a long, aromatic finish, proof of masterful ageing and an exceptional vintage.
Made from 100% Ugni Blanc, grown on soils combining clay, limestone and silica, this Cognac Borderies 1975 is a sensory testimony Rare to a confidential terroir, sublimated by time and the savoir-faire of Maison Prunier.
