Originating from the Mauxion family cradle, nestled in the heart of Les Fins Bois, this exceptional Cognac draws its richness and sensory uniqueness from a unique clay-limestone terroir.
The vineyard, made up of old vines, extends behind the family home. This Cognac was distilled in a small, traditional still, then aged for a long time in barrels in natural cellars, without blending or reduction. No cold filtration was applied, preserving its full aromatic expression.
Bottled in 2010, this limited edition represents the last available batch of this vintage.
Appearance: Bright, deep gold.
Nose: Very dense, with fine tannins. Great aromatic finesse, combining undergrowth, walnuts, nutmeg and black pepper, enhanced by a noble, racy rancio.
Palate: Supple, elegant attack. Beautiful tannic structure on the palate, accompanied by aromas of ripe apricot and candied orange. Long, harmonious finish.
