The vineyard Claude Thorin located Grande Champagne of Cognac, classified Premier Cru of the region was founded by André Thorin in 1950, today managed by his son Claude.
Millésimé 2005 and made from 100% Folle Blanche grapes, this Cognac is a veritable ode to floral elegance and Charentais winegrowing memory. An emblematic grape variety before the phylloxera crisis, Folle Blanche is today extremely Rare, covering less than 1% of Cognac vineyards. Its demanding cultivation is offset by an aromatic precision that few other grape varieties can match.
The fruit of a passion handed down through three generations of the Thorin family, this cuvée is the reflection of precious know-how and an exceptional terroir: Grande Champagne. La robe is golden amber, with a nose of great finesse, revealing delicate aromas of white flowers, violets and honeysuckle, subtly underlined by notes of vanilla.
On the palate, lightness and precision unfold a complex and persistent floral score, imbued with softness and harmony.
This Cognac Rare, Millésimé, will seduce connoisseurs with its aromatic purity, racy balance and accomplished expression of a forgotten grape variety. A timeless tasting experience, to be savored slowly, for lovers of Cognacs d'auteur.
