Perched at the foot of the majestic Dumgoyne hills, on the border between the Highlands and the Lowlands, Glengoyne embodies the very essence of artisanal Scotch whisky. The southernmost distillery in the Highlands, its name, inspired by the Gaelic *Glenguin* ("valley of wild geese"), pays tribute to the migratory birds that pass through this unspoiled region. Since 1833, Glengoyne has combined tradition and innovation to create single malts of rare smoothness and complexity, recognized by connoisseurs around the world.
The history of Glengoyne has its roots in a time when whisky distillation was often practiced clandestinely, sheltered by the hills and forests of Dumgoyne. Officially founded in 1833 under the name Burnfoot Distillery, it has survived the centuries while preserving its artisanal spirit. In 1906, it adopted the name Glengoyne and in 1984 was granted a royal warrant, becoming the official supplier to the Queen Mother, a distinction that attests to its excellence and still adorns its bottles today.
Unique expertise: slowness as a way of life
Glengoyne stands out for its production philosophy, where patience and precision are paramount. Each step is designed to enhance the natural aromas of the whisky, without artifice or haste.

On the nose, this whisky unfolds a captivating palette: the sweetness of vanilla intertwines with hints of toasted oak, while touches of fresh citrus, crisp biscuit, and a hint of delicate spices come through, enhanced by a subtle floral note of violet.
On the palate, indulgence takes over. A creamy texture evokes crème brûlée, while candied lemon and ripe pineapple bring a fruity freshness, creating a perfect balance between sweetness and liveliness.
The finish is round and persistent, allowing the aromas of toasted oak and melting caramel to express themselves, leaving a long-lasting impression of warmth and sweetness.
This single malt, made from 100% malted barley, is the result of a prolonged 56-hour fermentation and a slow double distillation in three traditional stills, preserving all the richness of its aromas. Aged in first-fill bourbon barrels and new American oak barrels, it has a unique depth, while the absence of chill filtration and coloring guarantees total authenticity.
