Perched at the foot of the majestic Dumgoyne hills, on the border between the Highlands and the Lowlands, Glengoyne embodies the very essence of artisanal Scotch whisky. The southernmost distillery in the Highlands, its name, inspired by the Gaelic *Glenguin* ("valley of wild geese"), pays tribute to the migratory birds that pass through this unspoiled region. Since 1833, Glengoyne has combined tradition and innovation to create single malts of rare smoothness and complexity, recognized by connoisseurs around the world.
The history of Glengoyne has its roots in a time when whisky distillation was often practiced clandestinely, sheltered by the hills and forests of Dumgoyne. Officially founded in 1833 under the name Burnfoot Distillery, it has survived the centuries while preserving its artisanal spirit. In 1906, it adopted the name Glengoyne and in 1984 was granted a royal warrant, becoming the official supplier to the Queen Mother, a distinction that attests to its excellence and still adorns its bottles today.
Unique expertise: slowness as a way of life
Glengoyne stands out for its production philosophy, where patience and precision are paramount. Each step is designed to enhance the natural aromas of the whisky, without artifice or haste.

This slow distillation process allows for prolonged contact with the copper of the stills, promoting the extraction of light and fruity esters. Carried out in two passes through... See more ...
Glengoyne 30 Year Old is the pinnacle of an exceptional single malt, where three decades of maturation have sculpted a whisky of unparalleled roundness and complexity.
The nose is captivatingly rounded: the depth of black cherry, the freshness of slightly bitter citrus, the delicacy of rose tea, the richness of chocolate and the sweetness of raisins intertwine to create a first impression of rare elegance.
On the palate, a refined power: the creaminess of plum compote, the warmth of cinnamon, the intensity of cloves, and the liveliness of tangy orange marmalade create a taste experience that is both intense and harmonious.
The finish is smooth and persistent, with notes of oak and cinnamon, for a subtle and unforgettable conclusion.
This whiskey owes its unique character to a meticulous production process: 100% malted barley, slow fermentation for 56 hours, double distillation in three swan-neck stills, and 30 years of aging in ex-sherry casks, mainly first-fill European oak casks. Unchillfiltered and uncolored, it reveals all its depth and authenticity, for a tasting experience of rare intensity.
