Nestled in the heart of the legendary Speyside region, Tamdhu is a distillery where history, craftsmanship, and innovation come together to create exceptional single malts. Founded in 1897, Tamdhu has forged a unique reputation by focusing exclusively on maturation in sherry casks, a pioneering method that gives its whiskies an incomparable aromatic richness and golden color. Today, Tamdhu embodies the perfect alliance between tradition and modernity, and stands out as one of the few distilleries to master the art of 100% sherry cask aging, from start to finish.
Tamdhu's adventure began in 1897, at the height of the golden age of Scotch whisky. Designed by architect Charles Doig, the distillery stood out from the outset for its modern design and efficiency, quickly becoming a key player in the production of blended whiskies such as The Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark. Tamdhu was also one of the last distilleries to malt its own barley, even supplying other sites such as Glenrothes and Highland Park.
However, its history is also one of remarkable resilience. In 2010, after more than a century of activity, Tamdhu closed its doors under the Edrington Group. But in 2011, the distillery was bought by Ian Macleod Distillers, who relaunched production in May 2013 with a clear vision: to make Tamdhu a benchmark for single malts aged in sherry casks. Since then, Tamdhu has successfully reinvented itself, focusing on quality, authenticity, and a strong identity, while preserving its artisanal heritage.

Discover an exceptional limited edition, where time and wood have combined to create a rich, floral, and deeply malty single malt. Carefully aged in American white oak ex-Oloroso casks, mostly first-fill, this whisky embodies the very essence of Scottish craftsmanship.
On the nose, noble oak, the sweetness of honey and the liveliness of morello cherry combine with delicate floral notes and a hint of freshly cut grass. A fresh and seductive opening where each note evokes the complexity of controlled aging.
On the palate, a smooth and malty experience: the creamy texture reveals flavors of golden caramel, rich vanilla, and subtle fruits, while the malty sweetness envelops the palate. A harmonious and comforting balance, where each sip tells a story of tradition and expertise.
The long and comforting finish highlights the depth and complexity of this whiskey. A soft and elegant persistence, where the aromas fade gracefully, leaving a memorable and refined impression.
