Mac-Talla, whose name means "echo" in Scottish Gaelic, is a range of single malts that embodies the wild and mineral soul of Islay, the mythical island in the Hebrides where whisky is shaped by the wind, sea, and land. Born from the family heritage of the Morrisons, independent distillers and bottlers established on Islay for four generations, Mac-Talla is much more than a whisky: it is a sensory journey into the heart of the island's rugged landscapes and ancestral traditions. Each expression in the range—Terra, Mara, and Strata—pays tribute to a unique aspect of Islay's terroir, offering a tasting experience that is as authentic as it is unforgettable.
The history of Mac-Talla is inseparable from that of the Morrison family, one of Islay's oldest distilling dynasties. For over a century, the Morrisons have helped shape the identity of the island's whiskies as producers, independent bottlers, and guardians of expertise passed down from generation to generation. Their expertise and passion for exceptional casks have enabled them to create a range of single malts that celebrate the diversity and richness of Islay, while preserving the authenticity of its traditions.
Mac-Talla continues this tradition, offering whiskies that reflect the many facets of the island: its wave-battered coastline (*Mara*), its volcanic soils (*Strata*), and its fertile lands (*Terra*). Each bottle is the result of a rigorous selection of casks, controlled aging, and a deep respect for the terroir, which gives these whiskies a strong identity and rare complexity.

Mac-Talla Oloroso is an exceptional peated single malt, born from the bold combination of Islay's iconic power and the richness of oloroso sherry casks, for an unforgettable sensory experience.
The nose is captivatingly intense, with deep peat and warm spices intertwining to herald a character that is both wild and refined.
On the palate, a rich and generous palette: ripe black fruits, captivating spices, and the sweetness of brown sugar unfold harmoniously, revealing the full complexity of this whiskey.
The long and persistent finish combines smoky peat with Christmas spices for a powerful and comforting conclusion.
This whisky owes its unique character to a rigorous production process: 100% malted barley, double distillation in swan-neck stills, and 10 to 15 years of aging in Oloroso sherry casks from the prestigious Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin (75% first fill, 25% second fill). Unchillfiltered and with a PPM rating of 30, it authentically expresses the echo of the wild landscapes of Islay, where peat and sherry combine to create a perfect balance between power and indulgence.
