Rosebank, once known as the "King of the Lowlands," is a legendary distillery whose history, closure, and spectacular resurrection have left their mark on the Scottish whisky industry. Founded in 1840 in Falkirk, on the banks of the Forth & Clyde Canal, Rosebank built a reputation for excellence thanks to its fruity, floral, and unparalleled smoothness, produced using unique traditional methods. After thirty years of silence, the distillery was brought back to life in 2023 by Ian Macleod Distillers, who restored its historic buildings and restarted production using the recipes of yesteryear. Today, Rosebank embodies both heritage and innovation, offering whisky lovers a unique experience that blends tradition and modernity.

After four years of meticulous restoration, production restarted in 2023. The historic buildings, including the iconic chimney and red brick warehouses, have been preserved and integrated into a new, ultra-modern distillery. Rosebank officially reopened its doors to the public in June 2024, marking the... See more ...

The nose offers a creamy, captivating sweetness: melting caramel, delicate vanilla, a hint of nutmeg and the freshness of seasonal fruits intertwine for a first impression of great subtlety.
On the palate, a refined delicacy: creamy honey, the tenderness of a ripe pear, a touch of sweet spices and the roundness of tropical fruits unfold harmoniously, revealing the full complexity of this legendary whisky.
The long and persistent finish allows floral notes of violet, the freshness of orange peel and the sweetness of honey to blossom, for an elegant and memorable conclusion.
This whisky owes its exceptional character to a meticulous production process: 100% malted barley, triple distillation in swan-neck stills equipped with worm tubs, and 30 years of aging in sherry butts (62%) and bourbon hogsheads (38%). Unchillfiltered, it retains all its richness and complexity, for a tasting experience that embodies the heritage of a legendary distillery, once known as the "King of the Lowlands." An exceptional bottle to be savored with contemplation.
