Loch Lomond

Nestled on the shores of Scotland's most iconic lake, Loch Lomond Whiskies embodies the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Since 1814, this Highland distillery has reinvented itself to become one of the country's most dynamic and award-winning, thanks to unique production methods, revolutionary stills, and a range of whiskies of rare diversity. With expressions ranging from fruity and delicately peated single malts to bold single grains, Loch Lomond stands out for its craftsmanship, commitment to quality, and historical heritage. In 2024, the distillery was named Scotch Whisky Producer of the Year and won more awards than any other brand at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, confirming its status as a rising star in Scotch whisky.

The history of Loch Lomond dates back to the 19th century, with the first traces of a distillery near the lake dating back to 1814. However, it was in 1965 that the modern distillery was established in Alexandria, under the leadership of American entrepreneur Duncan Thomas. After a period of silence in the 1980s, Loch Lomond was reborn in 1987 and has continued to grow ever since, becoming a key player in the industry thanks to its innovative approach and respect for Scottish traditions.

Today, Loch Lomond is proud to carry on a heritage dating back two centuries, while pushing the boundaries of distillation. The distillery is also linked to the history of Littlemill, Scotland's oldest legal distillery (1772), part of whose heritage it took over after its closure.

Unique expertise: revolutionary stills and a diversity of styles

Loch Lomond stands out for its unique approach to distillation, which allows it to produce an exceptionally varied range of whiskies, from light and fruity single malts to richly peated expressions.

Innovative stills for unique profiles

Unlike most Scottish distilleries, Loch Lomond uses three types of stills:

Description Loch Lomond 30 ans.

This Loch Lomond 30 Year Old stands out thanks to its meticulous production process and exceptional aging. Distilled from 100% malted barley and produced in Lomond stills—a technical feature that gives it its fruity and elegant profile—this single malt is non-chill filtered, preserving all of its rich aromas.

Its aging process is equally remarkable: 27 years in bourbon barrels, followed by 36 months of refinement in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks. This double maturation gives it unique depth and complexity.

On the nose, it seduces with sweet and enveloping aromas of honey, ripe peach, and cinnamon. On the palate, it unfolds a rich and fruity palette, blending salted butter caramel, fresh pineapple, and ginger. The long and persistent finish reveals lively notes of kiwi, lime, and redcurrant, bringing a touch of freshness and finesse.

A whisky of great elegance, where every detail—from distillation to maturation—contributes to a memorable tasting experience, combining power and subtlety. A must for lovers of exceptional single malts.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
