This Islay single malt, inspired by the wild cliffs of Mull of Oa, subtly combines the peaty power of Ardbeg with an unexpected sweetness. On the nose, it unfolds aromas of seaweed, sea spray, and subtle peat, complemented by notes of lemon, honey, and a hint of smoked fish. A fresh minerality and hints of chimney soot add to its complexity. On the palate, the balance between intensity and roundness is confirmed: the smoke, more discreet than before, gives way to flavors of caramel, dates, banana, and sweet spices, carried by a silky texture. The long and harmonious finish combines vanilla sweetness, sea salt, and a hint of tar, offering a powerful yet elegant persistence.
