Tesseron

The origin of this treasure dates back to the 19th century. In 1905 Abel Tesseron acquired this House and began collecting Cognacs Rares and prestigious.

The tradition continues with his son Guy, then with his grandsons Alfred and Gérard, and finally with their reciprocal children today, Justine and Noé, and Mélanie and Philippine, a fourth generation.

The House of Cognac Tesseron, owns 40 hectares of vines spread over the two premier crus of the appellation, Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne. 

This region benefits from an oceanic climate, characterized by mild winters and moderately hot summers, which facilitates the slow ripening of the grapes. The proximity of the Charente river and the regularity of rainfall provide a humidity that is essential to the health of the vineyards and favorable to long aging in the cellars. 

This family-run Maison still grows here, in addition to Ugni Blanc, Folle Blanche and CoLombard, autochthonous grape varieties that have become Rares.

In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.

Founded in 1971, the Club Trésors de Champagne is a very exclusive circle that brings together 25 of the region’s finest artisan winemakers. United by a love for their terroir, respect for traditional craftsmanship, and a vision for the future, these exceptional winemakers have been rigorously selected for the excellence of their work. Membership in the club is granted only upon sponsorship by one or more existing members.

For them, champagne is not just a celebratory drink; it is a unique story told through every bottle.

The “Spécial Club” cuvée

Being a member of this highly exclusiveclub allows winemakers to produce a unique, vintage-dated prestige cuvée: the Spécial Club. Recognized as the ultimate symbol of their expertise, this cuvée undergoes a rigorous process to ensure impeccable quality.

To earn this coveted “label,” each bottle must pass through rigorous stages:

  • Ultra-strict specifications demanding authenticity and perfection.
  • Two successive blind tastings, conducted by a jury of five independent oenologists.
  • A unanimous verdict: The quality of the cuvée must receive the absolute unanimous approval of the jury to be entitled to bear the name “Spécial Club.”
