Founded in 1878 by Auguste Edmond Audry in Cognac, Maison Audry produces Cognacs of incomparable quality, appreciated by connoisseurs the world over. With a heritage rich in know-how, the company has distinguished itself through its mastery of double Charentaise distillation and the meticulousness of its blends, building a reputation that today extends beyond borders.
In 1905, the second generation of the Audry family set up their own winery and laboratory to support the company's development. Henri, the founder's grandson, navigated the troubled waters of the interwar years and the second World War, during which the town of Cognac was in an occupied zone. When he died in 1955, the precious Réserve of eaux-de-vie were left to rest until his son Bernard relaunched the house in 1984, awakening a collection that had become an exceptional treasure in almost 30 years. Accompanied by his wife Michelle, Bernard Audry brings the aromatic complexity of the house's Cognacs to the finest tables of France and beyond. The precision of the blends and the quality of the Cognacs seduce the most demanding sommeliers, making Cognacs Audry a highly appreciated reference for epicureans.
Today, the fifth generation, represented by Renaud and Anne, continues the family's ancestral commitment to excellence and authenticity. Deeply attached to the values of their forebears, they strive to pRéserver this age-old heritage while adapting it to the demands of the modern world. With the arrival of Mathieu Vanhalst as Managing Director in 2023, the company is embarking on an ambitious renewal and business development, both on the French and international markets.
The Cognacs from Maison Audry are born from a blend of eaux-de-vie exclusively from Grande and Petite Champagne. Petite Champagne brings finesse and elegance to the blends, while Grande Champagne, famous for the aromatic richness of its eaux-de-vie, ensures optimal ageing for the Cognac to come.
Maison Audry creations are divided into four universes: Intemporels, Collection, Créations and Art Audry. Each universe embodies the house's cardinal values: absolute quality, audacity, Rare purity and transmission. Products such as Napoléon, XO, and Collection 78, demonstrate the patience and art of blending that the family has perpetuated for five generations.
La Maison Audry is also committed to craftsmanship and art, with collaborations such as the one with ceramist Anne Lesca and Bordeaux ceramist Erwan de Renvergé, to create unique pieces that sublimate the decanters and bottles of the house.
