The origins of this Château date back to the 18th century, but it is only since its acquisition in 1952 by new owners that this Château has achieved notoriety, being classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, promoted to the rank of Exceptional in the 2003 classification and finally proposed in 2009 for classification as a potential 4th Cru Classé. The terroir is carried by a gravelly hilltop on a clay-limestone subsoil, a character and a guarantee of exceptional qualities.

The vineyard extends over approximately 65 ha in the commune of St Estèphe, Château thus benefiting from this prestigious appellation.

This is a Haut Médoc Classé St Estèphe wine. The grape varieties are 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and the wine is aged in new barrels.

This is a wine to be consumed at room temperature after optimal cellaring, verified year after year.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
