Jens Reidar Larsen, the founder, was a Norwegian explorer who fell in love with the Cognac region during his travels. Fascinated by the art of creating Cognac, he established his own distillery at Cognac in 1926, creating Maison Larsen. Jens Reidar's passion for Cognac and his commitment to quality formed the basis of what was to become an internationally renowned brand.

The House has maintained its family character over the decades, with the fifth generation of the Larsen family at the helm.
