Château Minuty
It was Gabriel Farnet who completely replanted Domaine and restored to its former glory Château Minuty, built under Napoléon III, as well as the little chapel that would give its name to Cuvée de l'Oratoire, long the emblem of Château.
1930 - The Birth of Château Minuty.
1955, Château Minuty is one of 23 properties to be distinguished as Cru Classé from Côtes de Provence.
1960 - The replanting of Château Minuty:
Monique Farnet, daughter of Gabriel, and her husband Etienne Matton replanted traditional Provencal grape varieties (tibouren, rolle, grenache) and initiated limited, low yields for high quality winemaking.
1990 - Minuty's influence:
Today, Jean-Etienne and François Matton, the children, a third generation have taken over. They continue to restructure the vineyard replacing carignan and ugni blanc with grenache and rolle.
A 70-hectare Domaine under integrated farming with annual production around 500,000 bottles depending on the year. Average age of the vines is 25 years, on shist soils.

Description Château Minuty 281 2023.
Cuvée 281 is the latest Rosés from Château Minuty. It owes its name to the blue Pantone number, 281, used to decorate the bottle. It symbolizes the Mediterranean Sea and its daily influence on the quality of the vineyard. It comes from a selection of plots on the estate, spread over the 3 terroirs of schist, clay and sand, and is the result of a blend of 90% Grenache, 5% Syrah and 5% Rolle. In the case of Grenache, it's even a selection of clones, exclusive to Domaine, made 50 years ago, the best production of which is destined for Cuvée 281. To ensure these quality objectives are met, the grapes are always harvested by hand, only free-run juice is selected, alcoholic fermentation is carried out at low temperature and malolactic fermentation is blocked.
This Rosé is airy and bold! La robe is sparkling, a beautiful pale pink. The nose is marked by eXOtic fruits, passion fruit, pomegranate, mangosteen, but also pear and white peach. The palate is delicate, full and frank at the same time. The fleshiness of the orchard fruits glimpsed in the bouquet is enhanced by the tonic of pomelo and kumquat.
This Côtes de Provence Rosé Château Minuty Cuvée 281 is definitely gastronomic. It's ideal for a summer salad with avocado and grapefruit wedges, but you could also offer it with lobster cooked in a banana leaf, or scallop risotto.
