The history of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande dates back to the 17th century. In 1689, Pierre de Mazure de Rauzan, an influential wine merchant, acquired the vineyards and erected the Domaine that bears his name today. Over the years, Domaine changed ownership several times, but it wasn't until the early 20th century that Château enjoyed a period of stability thanks to the Miailhe family. In 1925, May-Eliane de Lencquesaing, an emblematic figure in the Miailhe family, inherited the estate and devoted much of her life to its management, contributing to its worldwide renown.

The terroir of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is of exceptional quality, with soils composed of gravel, clay and limestone. The vines cover an area of almost 85 hectares, planted mainly with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties, namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The proximity of the Gironde estuary and the presence of surrounding lakes create an ideal microclimate for optimal grape ripening.

The wines produced by Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande are renowned for their elegance, finesse and remarkable balance. They perfectly embody the expression of their terroir and reflect the classic style of Pauillac wines. The red wines of Domaine are dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, which brings structure, complexity and ageing potential.
