The family's history goes back many generations and is closely linked to vineyards and winemaking. The name "Méo" comes from the Méo branch of the family, while "Camuzet" refers to Étienne Camuzet, an important landowner whose family acquired vineyards in the 19th century. This union of the two families created the Maison in 1959, under the direction of Jean Méo.

The Domaine is located in the heart of Côte de Nuits, in the village of Vosne-Romanée, a prestigious appellation of Bourgogne. This exceptional terroir is renowned for its limestone and clay-limestone soils, as well as for its vine-friendly exposure. These unique geological and climatic conditions give the grapes an unrivalled aromatic richness and complexity, making it the cradle of some of the world's most prized wines.

The specialty lies in the production of exceptional Bourgogne red wines, mainly from Pinot Noir grapes. The Domaine owns vineyards in several prestigious appellations, including Vosne-Romanée, Richebourg, Clos Vougeot and Échezeaux, among others. Each plot is carefully tended and vinified separately, allowing pRéserver the uniqueness of the terroir.

The approach is resolutely traditional, with great attention paid to every detail of the winemaking process. Grapes are harvested by hand, meticulously sorted, then fermented in wooden and stainless steel vats. Aging takes place in French oak barrels, where the wines develop their complexity, elegance and structure.

The Maison is run by Jean-Nicolas Méo, the latest generation of the Méo family, who continues the family legacy of producing world-class Bourgogne wines. His commitment to quality, terroir and tradition is undeniable, and his wines continue to be highly sought after by connoisseurs the world over.
