Bonnaire

The Bonnaire house was founded in 1932 on one of the finest crus of the Champagne, the village of Cramant north of the Côte des blancs.

A family-run, independent firm specializing in Champagnes Blanc de blancs whose great finesse helped build its reputation, today it reigns over a 22-hectare vineyard classified as Grand Cru.

What is the history of the Maison de Bonnaire?

It was in 1932 that Fernand Bouquement founded his own house of Champagne. In the aftermath of the SecWorld War II, he was joined by his son-in-law André Bonnaire, who proved to be particularly passionate about vine growing and paid a great deal of attention to it. His son Jean-Louis took over and made Maison Bonnaire one of the most renowned in the Côte des blancs region. A particularly talented winemaker, he spent the last years of his life sharing his passion with his two sons, Jean-Etienne and Jean-Emmanuel, who today represent the fourth generation. Faithful to their father's memory and philosophy, they continue to produce chiseled Champagnes of great freshness and energy.

Description Bonnaire Rosé Assemblage.

This Champagne Rosé is a blend of 60% Chardonnay, Grand Cru from Cramant, and 40% Pinot Noir, Premier Cru from Bergères-les-Vertus and Grand Cru from Bouzy.

Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled vats, then the wines spend 36 months on lees before disgorgement and receive a moderate dosage of 6g/L.

The wine is concentrated and precise. Delightful notes of Bouzy red, appear immediately, such as rose, peony and raspberry.

The palate, marked by the dominance of Chardonnay, is ample and tender and rests on a slightly tannic structure of the Champagne côteaux.

The finish is long and fresh, and assumes its racy character.

This Rosé blend is perfectly suited to a fine plate of sushi and sashimi, or even a "Boule de Lille", 24-month-old Extra mimolette.

Accords Mets et Vin

Bouzy's gourmet notes highlight red berries such as Burlat cherry, Mara des bois strawberry, coffee beans and dark chocolate.

Enjoy at the end of a meal with chocolate cakes such as Norwegian forest, raspberry sorbet or tarte tatin.
