Château Batailley

This Château is a Pauillac, located in the commune of Pauillac. One of the 5ème Grand Cru Classé following the prestigious 1855 list.

The vineyard area is 60 ha and the production is about 330 barrels, a total production of about 400,000 bottles per year.

The vineyard has an average age of 35 years and is planted on Garonne gravel soil and subsoil.

Variety of grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot Noir 25%, Cabernet Franc 5%

All the grapes are harvested by hand with sorting tables in the vines. The wine is aged in new barrels for about 60% for 16 to 18 months.
