Quintessa

Founded by the Huneeus family, Quintessa is a tribute to the natural beauty of the landscape and the constant pursuit of excellence in the production of world-class wines.

The story goes back to the 1980s, when the Huneeus family acquired an estate of over 150 hectares in the Rutherford region, in the heart of Napa Valley. The family's vision was to create a unique Domaine, where the diversity of soils, the orientation of the hills and the ideal climate would combine to produce wines of exceptional quality. Domaine has been meticulously landscaped, with attention to every detail, with the aim of capturing the very essence of Napa Valley in every bottle.

The number of dedicated hectares is around 160 hectares, part of which is planted with vines. This vast expanse of terroir makes it possible to select specific plots that best express the unique characteristics of each grape variety grown.

The grape varieties are diverse and carefully chosen to make the most of the varied terroir. The main grape varieties planted include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carménère. This judicious combination produces complex, well-balanced blends, characterized by rich flavors, tannic structure and aromatic finesse.

The Huneeus family, of Chilean origin, is a pioneering wine family, having played a significant role in the development of the international wine industry. The passion and experience they have brought to Quintessa have shaped Domaine into a prized destination for wine lovers from around the world. Agustin Huneeus, patriarch of the family, has been a visionary in the wine industry, always seeking to push the boundaries of quality and innovation.

The Quintessa winery is an architectural masterpiece, harmoniously integrated into the natural landscape of Domaine. It is equipped with the latest technology while respecting traditional winemaking methods, symbolizing the family's commitment to the balance between tradition and modernity.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
