The Château Potensac is an iconic wine estate located in the Médoc region of Bordeaux.

This magnificent estate has a rich history, a deep family tradition and an exceptional Domaine that make it a major player in the Médoc appellation and the French wine industry as a whole.

The history of Château dates back to the 18th century, when the Delon family acquired the property in 1750. Since then, the Delon family has played a key role in the preservation and development of this Domaine winery. Description Château Potensac 2023.

Potensac is a 61-hectare vineyard located in the commune of Ordonnac, between river and ocean. It's one of the highest points in the Nord-Médoc region, where cool, iodized breezes prevail and nature has remained wild. The historic plots of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot date back to the 1920s and 1930s.

SOILS

Potensac extends over two slopes with well-defined properties. A limestone subsoil covered by clay-gravel hilltops with a high proportion of gravel. With its cool oceanic climate and well-drained soils, the vineyard echoes parts of appellation Saint-Estèphe. Characterized by its slopes, this land of the future combines power and vitality even in the hottest vintages.
