Francis Abecassis is the founder of the Domaines Abecassis, 3 family estates with 370 ha of vines spread over 4 vineyards and ideally located on the Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Grande Champagne crus.

Surrounded by his daughter Elodie and the best local cellar masters, he has imposed his vision of Cognac, both contemporary and respectful of tradition, the "Single Estate Cognac".

Each of the Domaines, strengthened by its geographical location and to enhance its terroir, works independently on the production (grapes then wines) and elaboration (distillation then ageing and blending) stages of Cognac.

The distilleries are not automated, and it's the talent of the master distiller, using small-capacity stills (less than 25hl) for separate batch distillation, that produces the best eaux de vie.

The cellar masters have some twenty sites, grouping together 3500 barrels, where the Cognacs that will be used for blending rest, some of them for over a hundred years.

Depending on their location, the cellars are Secs or damp, and depending on their provenance the Cognacs will bring different characteristics to the final blend thereby guaranteeing the harmony and singularity of the great Cognacs.

The Cognacs selected here are exclusively from Premier Cru de Cognac, Grande Champagne (also known as Cœur du Cognac), and produced under the ABK6 brand.

This cru, with its hilly terrain, soft limestone soil and sometimes "sticky" clays, produces eaux de vie of extreme finesse, great lightness and adorned with a subtle floral bouquet.

Description ABK6 XXO.

This Cognac presents itself with an "old gold" color, adorned with mahogany highlights, but still with a beautiful brilliance.

The nose is quite complex, fine and intense at the same time. There are notes of dried figs, licorice, orange peel, spices and russet casks, but without overshadowing the freshness.

The palate offers great mastered aromatic power, where spring flowers, jasmine and Secs fruits combine.

The structure is asserted by the presence of sandalwood, balsamic, nuts and candied fruits.

The finish is long and gentle, with notes of pine, cedar (cigar box) and candied ginger, all refreshed by the mineral notes typical of Grande Champagne.

A tulip-shaped glass and taking your time, two prerequisites for discovering this complex and generous Cognac.
