Another fine vintage, Margaux, born under excellent climatological auspices to which an exceptional terroir gave birth, and which together, not to mention the mastery of the cellar master, make for a very great wine that will be able to age in the cellar, protected from light, with bottles laid down, until its qualitative peak, estimated at around 2040.
This Margaux 2016 is elegant, both on the nose and on the palate, with beautiful tension on notes of small black fruits such as blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry. The palate is round and velvety, with a broad aromatic palette of ripe, almost jammy black berries. The tannins are chiselled with elegance and freshness, and the finish is long and complex, with a final touch of vanilla woodiness.
Enjoy at room temperature, decanting a few hours beforehand to give it time to express itself
Successive tastings will reveal its full potential, but this is a wine to be enjoyed with red or white meats, ceps from Bordeaux or Dordogne, or girolles flavored with black or white truffles.
