Château Haut-Marbuzet
The origins of this Château date back to the 18th century, but it is only since its acquisition in 1952 by new owners that this Château has achieved notoriety, being classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, promoted to the rank of Exceptional in the 2003 classification and finally proposed in 2009 for classification as a potential 4th Cru Classé.
The terroir is carried by a gravelly hilltop on a clay-limestone subsoil, a character and a guarantee of exceptional qualities.
The vineyard extends over approximately 65 ha in the commune of St Estèphe, Château thus benefiting from this prestigious appellation.
This is a Haut Médoc Classé St Estèphe wine. The grape varieties are 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and the wine is aged in new barrels.
This is a wine to be consumed at room temperature after optimal cellaring, verified year after year.

Located on the Rive gauche of the Gironde, in the commune of Saint-Estèphe, Château Haut Marbuzet never ceases to produce wines of the highest quality. Benefiting from an exceptional blue clay terroir, the wines possess a singular, inimitable character. The nose of Haut Marbuzet 2005 is complex and refined. It is dominated by scents of red fruit, undergrowth and hearth. Round and suave on the palate. Perfectly integrated tannins underline a very supple structure. The very pure finish stretches on for a long time.
