Description Antinori Solaia 2011.

A great Tuscan wine, produced between Siena and Florence, Solaia is a flagship cuvée from Domaine Antinori. Voted best wine in the world in 1997 by Wine Spectator, this nugget is only produced in exceptional years. The 2011 vintage offers us a deep garnet-red color. The nose opens with scents of black and red fruits such as raspberry, redcurrant and blackberry. After aeration, menthol notes emerge. The palate is fresh from the outset, evolving into a powerful body. Intense, with silky-textured tannins. Aromas of raspberry combine with notes of white pepper. The very precise finish suggests further good ageing potential.
