Château Le Coteau

Château Le Coteau

Vineyard with a surface area of 12 ha: it is an exceptional terroir, that of the greatest Médoc wines. It is composed of Garonne gravel left by the ancient Garonne River in the quaternary period during the Günz glaciation. These gravels are composed of pebbles, cobbles and gravels originating from the Massif Central and the Pyrenees.

These are very poor and very filtering warm soils that are perfectly suited to the cultivation of the vine and to a great maturity of the grape. This terroir would be nothing without the climatic influence of the nearby river which softens the temperatures.

The grape variety is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot.

Cultivation practices: the vines are cultivated with the utmost respect for the environment. No herbicides and no inSecticides are used making the vineyard an ecosystem rich in biodiversity. Manual harvesting
