Description Château Les Ormes de Pez 2023.

The 2023 vintage got underway under the sometimes unpredictable influence of nature. Between drought and rain, the mild winter gave way to a promising spring. The first flowers bloom, but with them come fears of growing sanitary pressure, particularly on the Merlot. Fortunately, our teams act swiftly, deploying preventive measures to contain this threat, thus preserving the vigor of the vines.

Summer sets in, bringing with it its share of challenges. High temperatures exacerbated water stress, blocking ripening in some plots. But in mid-September, a providential rain boosted the Cabernets'ripeness, providing the much-hoped-for balance. The health of the grapes was excellent, with small, highly concentrated berries.

Despite the obstacles, the early harvest heralded a very promising outcome.

"Château Ormes de Pez 2023 has an intense, brilliant garnet-red color, while the nose reveals lively notes of fresh red fruit. On the palate, a perfect harmony emerges, between an elegant woody integration, supported by a fine tannic structure."
