Château La Garde

The Château La Garde is a prestigious Domaine vineyard located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, in the heart of the Bordeaux region. Famous for the exceptional quality of its wines, Château has a rich history and benefits from an exceptional terroir.

The history of Château La Garde dates back to the 18th century, when the Dejean family acquired the property. However, it was in the early 20th century that Château experienced a decisive turning point when the Perrin family, owners of the famous Château Carbonnieux, took over the reins of La Garde. The Perrins bring their winemaking expertise and passion for the land, which quickly propels Château among the greatest Domaines of Pessac-Léognan.

Description Château La Garde 2017.

The wine reveals a lovely garnet-red color, dark and brilliant. It opens with a nose dominated by crisp, juicy red fruit. A subtle note of cut grass emerges discreetly if we linger a little. On the palate, it is highly concentrated and dense. A pleasant tension appears from the outset and continues in an elegant fashion. Finely chiselled tannins support a fruity aroma with sweet blueberry notes. The relatively fresh finish confirms that the wine will increase its potential after a few years.
