Château Pavie-Decesse

The Château Pavie-Decesse is a prestigious wine estate located in the Saint-Émilion appellation, in the heart of the Bordeaux region.

This magnificent estate boasts a fascinating history, a deep family tradition and an exceptional Domaine, making it one of the jewels of Bordeaux viticulture.

The history of Château dates back to the 19th century, when Ferdinand Bouffard acquired the property in 1868. This acquisition laid the foundations for the Bouffard family in the world of Bordeaux wine and vineyards. However, it was under the management of the Perse family that the property underwent a major transformation.

In 1998, Gérard Perse and his family purchased Château Pavie-Decesse. Gérard Perse is a wine enthusiast and visionary entrepreneur, and has invested heavily in modernizing the property. His commitment to quality and winemaking tradition has been essential in restoring Pavie-Decesse to its former glory. He has also implemented organic and biodynamic viticulture practices in the vineyards, contributing to environmental sustainability.

Description Château Pavie-Decesse 2015.

Located on the limestone plateau of St-Emilion, Château Pavie Decesse was until the end of the 19th century an integral part of the famous Château Pavie. Treated with the same care as the latter, the resulting wines are rich, dense and powerful. Pavie Decesse, with its ruby-red color, has a nose that subtly blends red fruits, spices and hints of roasting. Straightforward on the attack, it is full-bodied on the mid-palate. Tight tannins support superb aromas dominated by raspberry. Enjoyable now for its freshness, it is also possible to wait a little longer to see its aromatic palette become more complex and its tannins take on a patina.
