Alfred Gratien

A family-owned Champagne house since 1864!

If exception has a name it is certainly Champagne Alfred Gratien. The Champagnes of the house Alfred Gratien are hand-sewn Champagnes, a guarantee of quality and uniqueness. In the heart of the Champagne vineyards, you have to go a little further from the city center of Epernay to reach the Champagne cellars Alfred Gratien. It is there, on Maurice Cerveaux street, that Alfred Gratien settled and created its first vintages in 1864. For more than a century and a half the Champagne Alfred Gratien remains family and perpetuates the know-how of its founder.

Description Alfred Gratien Passation 2008 Magnum.

The vintage 2015 offered us a hot, dry summer that caused water stress, but fortunately a few welcome rains in August revived the progression of ripeness.

The cuvée Paradis 2015 is a cuvée that represents all the expertise of the Alfred Gratien cellar master and the vigilance brought to the selection of the grapes from this 2015 harvest.

Faithful to the house's principles, vinification took place in 228L barrels, without malolactic; as for dosage it's 8g/L.

This Champagne, at La robe luminous yellow gold, opens immediately with intense eXOtic aromas, grapefruit, pineapple, coconut and mimosa.

The attack is frank, dynamic, then the gourmand side comes out with vanilla, warm brioche.

The finish is equally warm, finishing on chalk and saltiness, markers of a great capacity é for aging.

For now, you can pair it with lobster or cod with citrus sauce.
