Telmont

The Champagne Telmont is a family-run Champagne house, renowned for its craftsmanship, commitment to quality and rich history. Founded in 1912 by Henri Lhôpital, the house is located in the village of Damery, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne, in the prestigious Champagne region.

The history of the Lhôpital family dates back to the early 20th century, when Henri Lhôpital decided to create his own house of Champagne. A passionate and visionary winemaker, he acquired vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne and set about producing exceptional Champagnes. The quality and authenticity of Telmont's cuvées soon attracted the attention of Champagne connoisseurs, and the company gained recognition.

Through the generations, the Lhôpital family has passed on its know-how and winegrowing heritage, while remaining true to the values of tradition, respect for the terroir and innovation. Today, the house is still run by the family, who continue the family heritage and commitment to excellence.

The terroir of Vallée de la Marne is a major asset to the quality of Telmont Champagnes. The vineyards cover almost 36 hectares, mainly located in villages classified as Premier Cru appellation, such as Damery, Boursault and Verneuil. The terroir of Vallée de la Marne is characterized by its clay-limestone soils, which give the grapes optimal ripeness and characteristic freshness.

Description Telmont Réserve Rosé Magnum.

Telmont's Réserve Rosé is a cuvée distinguished by its complexity and elegance, the result of a blend of the 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 harvests.

Dominated by 87% Chardonnay rounded out by 13% Meunier, this Champagne features no Pinot Noir, which is rather atypical for a Champagne Rosé. This choice reflects the company's desire to create its own distinctive style, full of finesse and freshness. The absence of malolactic fermentation and the use of stainless steel tanks for vinification contribute to pRéserver the natural acidity and purity of the fruit.

On opening, the first nose is immediately seductive, with aromas of fresh red fruit and a gourmet touch of buttered brioche. On the palate, the first impression is lively, reminiscent of the crunch and aromatic explosion of a ripe Morello cherry. The dosage of 8.4g/l gives this cuvée a lovely roundness, balanced by refreshing acidity.

6 years' cellar ageing allows the aromas to develop to the full, contributing to the rich taste of this Champagne. The winemaking process, from harvesting to ageing, reflects diversified terroirs, from which the best parcels are selected.

Served at a temperature of 7°C, this fruity-flavored, creamy-textured cuvée will initiate superb pairings with Parmesan-based dishes.
