Founded by François Moussé in the early 20th century, the house is located in the village of Cuisles, in the heart of the prestigious Vallée de la Marne region, in Champagne.
The history of the Moussé family is closely linked to that of Champagne. François Moussé, the company's founder, was a passionate winemaker who decided to start producing Champagne to carry on the family tradition. With determination and know-how, he planted his first vines and began to produce quality Champagnes, renowned for their finesse and elegance.
Over the generations, the Moussé family has passed on its know-how and love of the land, preserving traditional values while adapting to the evolving Champagne market. Today, Moussé Fils is still run by members of the family, who are committed to perpetuating the winegrowing heritage with passion and devotion.

The L’Esquisse cuvée, born from the young vines of the Moussé estate, embodies the energy and freshness of the terroirs of Cuisles, Jonquery, and Châtillon-sur-Marne. Composed of 70% Meunier and 30% Pinot Noir, this Extra-Brut cuvée is designed to be enjoyed in its youth, offering a fruity, lively and generous expression typical of the Marne Valley.
Its clear, sparkling color with golden highlights reveals a fine, dynamic effervescence. The nose opens with a bouquet dominated by notes of red fruit, green apple, and white flowers, complemented by notes of dried fruit and a touch of chalky minerality. The influence of the clay-limestone soils can be felt in this aromatic palette, which is both rich and balanced. On the palate, the attack is fresh and fruity, carried by a beautiful acidity that brings tension and liveliness. The flavors of red fruit, pear, and citrus blossom harmoniously, while the long finish reveals a pleasant minerality.
Benefiting from careful vinification and 18 months of aging, its chiseled structure makes it the ideal companion for a convivial aperitif, during which it will easily accompany almonds, dried fruit, or a slice of watermelon. This is a champagne that does not take itself too seriously, except in its commitment to offering authentic pleasure from the moment the bottle is opened.
