What connoisseur of Champagnes doesn't know Maison Laurent-Perrier, whose sumptuous cuvées possess an almost refreshing taste of history? A veritable benchmark within the circle of great Champagne houses, Maison Laurent-Perrier has always demonstrated an innovative spirit, displaying a very distinctive style of finesse and elegance for two centuries now.

What is the history of Maison Laurent-Perrier?

It was towards the end of the First Empire, in 1812, that André-Michel Pierlot, a former cooper and bottler from Chigny-les-Roses, settled in Tours-sur-Marne as a wine merchant for Champagne. Tours-sur-Marne is a picturesque village located at the crossroads of the Marne's three main wine-growing regions: Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des blancs, and is one of only 17 communes to be classified as Grand Cru. Description Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Alexandra Rosé 2004.

The first Alexandra vintage was created in 1987 and was named by the head of the family, who has owned the house for several generations, for the wedding of her daughter Alexandra.

It is a champagne made from a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay grapes, exclusively from the Grands Crus belonging to the Laurent Perrier vineyards.

It is also a rare champagne de saignée because the elaboration begins with a joint maceration of the grapes and it is the cellar master alone who decides to stop the maceration at the precise moment when he judges the color and the excellence of the alliances. An art in the greatest tradition of Champagne.

It is also a Vintage made exclusively in the great years, when the harvest is at the maximum of its qualities required to give birth to an exceptional champagne.
