What is the history of Maison Pierre Gimonnet?

It's around 1750 that we can find in the archives traces of the Gimonnets as winegrowers in Champagne, where they deliver their harvest to the Champagne trade. From generation to generation, they passed on their love of the vine. It wasn't until 1935 that Pierre Gimonnet began its own winemaking business. Michel, Pierre's son, joined the business in 1955. His passion and pragmatism enabled him to be a pioneer in parcel-based vinification, giving each terroir the opportunity to fully express itself. Today, Olivier and Didier Gimonnet embody the third generation, worthy heirs to an exceptional savoir-faire.

Description Pierre Gimonnet & Fils Cuvée Rosé de Blancs.

It is a Champagne of assembly elaborated with exclusively Chardonnay of terroirs classified Premier Cru and Grand Cru created with a minimal addition (6%) of Pinot Noir Bouzy Grand Cru exclusively.

A relatively confidential production: about 15,000 bottles depending on the year.

The harvest is done manually

The color is a very pale pink but very crystalline and pure.

In the nose as in the mouth, the attack is double between citrus fruits of the Chardonnays and small red fruits of the Pinot Noir. The liveliness and airiness slowly fade to give way to creamy notes with an elegant, finely mineral finish with hints of mandarin.

A charming champagne for the pleasure of your friends invited to the aperitif or to dinner with seafood mainly and final of sabaillon or red fruits.

To be served between 8 and 10°C.
