House Dubosquet, located not far from Saintes in the heart of this deep Saintonge, a Roman city with limestone soils where the Romans planted their first vines in Gaul at the very beginning of our era.

It could have become the capital of Cognac, but Saintes, with its Roman-era arena and Arc de Triomphe, had to take a back seat to its rival Cognac, which later gave its name to France's most famous brandy at the end of the 19th century.

This is a very old family from the Cognac region, whose roots go back as far as 1640, according to French national archives.

This house produces Cognacs Grande Champagne, classified Premier Cru de Cognac.

A cognac made from a blend of very old Grande Champagne Premier Cru de Cognac eaux de vie, the oldest of which dates back to 1973, a remarkable vintage.

The robe is amber and brilliant.

In nose as in mouth splendid balance in first attack on the fragrances of spring as the sainfoin, the clover, the hawthorn followed by blond tobacco of Virginia with elegant points of musk.

Wonderful and unforgettable length in the mouth on candied fruits like plum of Ente or apricot with very fine touches of leather of Cordou, cinnamon, nutmeg, to finish on touches of chocolate and mocha.
