Jean-Luc Pasquet

Located in Eraville, on the border between Grande and Petite Champagne, the house of Cognac Jean-Luc Pasquet traces its origins back to 1730.

The domain was passed down from generation to generation until Jean-Luc Pasquet inherited the property in 1970. It was only in 1977 that Jean-Luc Pasquet began bottling its production.

The 14-hectare vineyard today is farmed organically - certified since 1998 - and planted with grape varieties from the Cognac region. This vineyard also has a few vines of Folle Blanche, the king grape of the Cognac region before the phylloxera crisis at the end of the 19th century. At the time, this very fragile grape gave rise to eaux-de-vie of incomparable finesse and richness, both olfactory and gustatory.

The house raises several qualities of Cognacs of different ages under labels specific to each quality. To ensure the continuity of its range of Cognacs over 20 years old at a time when its stock of old Cognacs is running out, Maison Pasquet goes out to meet the "bouilleurs de crus" (distillers) who keep hidden treasures in the privacy of their cellars. It selects a single cask and finishes working it to bring it to its ideal tasting level. Each bottle bears the producer's first name and is produced in a limited, numbered series.

Description Jean-Luc Pasquet Trésors de Famille Le Cognac de Paul L.57.

This Cognac comes from a single fut, lot 57, but also from a single cru: La Grande Champagne. A production of just 319 bottles.

This Rare Cognac bears witness to a family history, a heritage handed down from generation to generation. It recounts the responsibility of heirs to venerable stocks over half a century old.

Paul L.57's Cognac is the fruit of the labor of Paul GAILLARD, a former owner in the commune of Saint Médard. Made from parcels of Domaine Gaillard, this Cognac Brut de fût is perfectly balanced thanks to its many years of aging, which brings roundness and complexity around the rancio.

With its intense golden color, this Cognac reveals sweet aromas of beeswax, ripe bananas, kumquats, honey or quince pate and jam.

On the palate, characteristic rancio notes such as tobacco, oak and licorice intermingle with gourmet notes of lime blossom, cinnamon pastry and Secs.
