Description Guillon-Painturaud XO Vieille Réserve.
From a clay-limestone terroir in the Grande Champagne region, this cuvée was made from the house's old Cognacs XO.
It offers a perfect balance between fruity notes and spicy aromas. Homogeneous whole, supple finish is long on the palate.
The Cognac Vieille Réserve has a blond caramel color with tiled highlights, synonymous with its long aging in oak.
From the first nose, notes of bitter orange and candied citrus blend with spicy notes.
The palate is round and reveals muscatel notes that evolve into woody touches. Very nice balance of fruit and wood, offering a supple, light finish.
This is a Cognac to pair, for example, with a delicate dish such as lobster claws in millefeuille.
