Champagne Rémy Massin

Champagne Rémy Massin

The Champagne Moussé Fils is a family-run Champagne house with a history going back several generations, embodying the tradition, passion and craftsmanship of Champagne. Founded by François Moussé in the early 20th century, the house is located in the village of Cuisles, in the heart of the prestigious Vallée de la Marne region, in Champagne.

The history of the Moussé family is closely linked to that of Champagne. François Moussé, the company's founder, was a passionate winemaker who decided to start producing Champagne to carry on the family tradition. With determination and know-how, he planted his first vines and began to produce quality Champagnes, renowned for their finesse and elegance.

Over the generations, the Moussé family has passed on its know-how and love of the land, preserving traditional values while adapting to changes in the Champagne market. Today, the house of Champagne Moussé Fils is still run by family members, who are committed to perpetuating the winegrowing heritage with passion and devotion.

The terroir of the Vallée de la Marne is a major asset for the quality of Champagnes Moussé Fils. The vineyards cover almost 10 hectares, mainly located in the villages of Cuisles and Jonquery.

The vines are carefully cultivated, using environmentally friendly practices. Moussé Fils attaches great importance to preserving biodiversity and soil health, avoiding the use of synthetic chemicals.

Harvesting is carried out by hand, allowing careful selection of the ripest, healthiest bunches, ensuring the optimum quality of the grapes used to make Champagnes Moussé Fils.

Winemaking at Moussé Fils is a meticulous, artisanal process, where every detail counts. The grapes are delicately pressed, and the juices are vinified separately to pRéserver purity of aroma and freshness of fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, and some of the wines undergo malolactic fermentation to add roundness and complexity to the cuvées.

The Champagnes Moussé Fils are aged mainly in stainless steel vats and oak barrels, offering a wide range of aromas and a silky texture to the cuvées. The Champagnes are aged on lees for an extended period, giving them great complexity and finesse.

The Champagnes Moussé Fils stand out for their elegance, freshness and authenticity. They offer a complex aromatic palette, ranging from fresh fruit to notes of toast, with floral and spicy nuances. On the palate, Champagnes are well-balanced, with a delicate effervescence and lingering finish that testify to their high quality.

The house of Champagne Moussé Fils offers a varied range of cuvées, from non Champagnes Millésimés to prestige cuvées. Each cuvée expresses the unique character of its terroir of origin, reflecting the diversity and richness of the Champagne terroir.

Description Rémy Massin Cuvée Louis Aristide.

This is a Champagne blend of several vintages since the years 1995 to 2015 of Pinot Noir varietal wines exclusively.

The vineyard located on the sunny hillsides of Ville-sur-Arce, in the heart of the Côte des Bars, covers 22 hectares, cultivated following sustainable viticulture methods respecting Nature and People. The vines face south and south-east to benefit from optimum sunshine, giving incomparable gustatory and olfactory qualities.

This Champagne, aged on laths for a minimum of 6 years,  is a tribute to Louis-Aristide, the first in the 5-generation line of Rémy Massin savoir-faire.

La robe is bright gold  with summer straw highlights.

The nose is elegant, carried on hazelnut and honey, with notes of tangy red fruits such as raspberry, Plougastel strawberry or Marat des bois.

The palate is in perfect balance with the nose on a frank first attack and a beautiful material of fruit flesh. These various sensations produce an overall creamy, harmonious texture. The finish is clean, slightly velvety, mineral but above all very long.

Wine and food pairings: as an aperitif served at 10-12°C, but no lower so as not to dull the fragrances and flavors of this Champagne.

Would go very well with cep risotto, veal shank or a praline dessert.

Bottles to be cellared away from light and noise with a hygrometric degree of around 70%.

We suggest successive tastings in order to measure its floral and gustatory evolution until its qualitative peak.

ROSES2025

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
