Hugues Godmé
The house of Champagne Hugues Godmé is a renowned family Champagne producer, renowned for the exceptional quality of its cuvées. Founded by Hugues Godmé himself, the house perpetuates a centuries-old winemaking tradition and showcases the unique terroir of the Champagne region.
The Godmé family history goes back several generations, when Hugues Godmé's grandfather began cultivating vines in the Verzenay region, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. Hugues Godmé then took over the reins of the family business and set about developing a vision of Champagne production based on excellence and the preservation of traditional values.
The vineyards cover almost 14 hectares, mainly located in the grand crus of Verzenay, Verzy and Villers-Marmery. These terroirs, characterized by limestone and clay soils, offer ideal conditions for growing Champagne grape varieties, notably Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.
The Hugues Godmé estate attaches great importance to sustainable, environmentally-friendly viticulture. The vines are grown using responsible agricultural practices, with particular attention paid to biodiversity and soil health. Harvesting is carried out by hand to ensure careful selection of the ripest, healthiest bunches, preserving the pure expression of terroir.

Description Hugues Godmé Blanc de Noirs.
The Domaine from Hugues Godmé, 40 parcels of vines (7ha) monitored biodynamically with organic certification, are spread over 4 villages of Montagne de Reims, Verzenay, Verzy, Villers-Marmery and Villedommange.
This Blancs de Noir cuvée (100% Pinot Noir) comes from terroirs Grand Cru, Verzy and Verzenay. It results from a blend of 45% of this year's wine and Réserve wines from the two previous years. Part of the wine (40%) is vinified in oak barrels and, after 6 months on lees, is aged in the cellars for at least 36 months on laths. No dosage is carried out, so this Champagne is a Brut nature.
This is a remarkably well-balanced cuvée, combining the freshness of Montagne de Reims's northern chalky soils with the racy, fruity notes of Pinot Noir.
This Blanc de noirs offers a very pretty, sparkling golden yellow color. The nose, vinous and elegant, remains fresh and greedy, carried by white fruits, stewed apricot and baker's yeast. The palate is frank, ripe and elegant. Red fruits, strawberry and redcurrant, rub shoulders with brioche and toasted hazelnut. The finish is reminiscent of the chalk of Montagne de Reims. A taut wine, but always with that touch of greediness!
The Blanc de noirs from the Domaine Hugues Godmé will melt with scallops with saffron cream, or coat sweetbreads with cream and morels.
