Resting in the hands of the same family, the origins of Domaine Lamarche go back several generations. Indeed, since 1797, fourteen different wines have been produced here, on the prestigious terroirs of Vosne-Romanée and de Vougeot.
Today Domaine covers 11.23 hectares divided equally between Pinots Noirs on the one hand, and Chardonnays and Pinots Blancs on the other.
Famous for exploiting in monopoly one of the Rares Grands Crus of Vosne-Romanée, La Grande Rue, it also boasts three other Grands Crus, including Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux and Grands-Échezeaux.
François Lamarche took over the management of Domaine in 1985 until his death Brutal 2013 where his daughter Nicole took over the work from the vineyard to the winery while her cousin Nathalie Lamarche is in charge of the management of Domaine.
Since 2010, the vineyard has gone organic with the aim of maintain this exceptional terroir. In 2018, Nicole Lamarche decided to put her name on the bottle labels in place of her father's.
The Lamarche family produces and ages its own wines ; low yields, perfect grape ripeness and strict sorting characterize the wines produced at Domaine Lamarche.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand.
The Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2018 from Domaine Nicole Lamarche is an exceptional red wine made from Pinot Noir, aged in oak barrels for 16 to 20 months without fining or filtration.
This Grand Cru from Bourgogne stands out for its remarkable ageing potential, between 6 and 30 years.
Complex and refined, it pairs perfectly with sesame-flavored red tuna tataki. This original choice contrasts the richness of the Pinot Noir with the melting texture of the tuna and the toasted flavors of the sesame, creating a harmony as bold as it is elegant.
Cultivated with respect for ecological practices, it is best served at a temperature of 15°C to reveal its full aromatic richness.
