Claude Cazals

The Maison Cazals was founded in 1897 in Mesnil-sur-Oger by Ernest Cazals, a renowned cooper originally from the Hérault region of France who had married a Champagne woman.

Three generations have since succeeded one another at the head of the estate, and today DelpHine Cazals manages it with the same passion and enthusiasm to continually highlight this great terroir of Côte des blancs.

La Maison Claude Cazals: an exceptional terroir

Delphine Cazals has run the company since the death of his father in 1996. The entire Cazals vineyard comprises 9 hectares of vines spread over 4 communes: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, Vertus and Villeneuve. One part is therefore classified as Grand Cru and the other as Premier Cru. All vines are planted with Chardonnay to create cuvées with their own identity, full of finesse and aromatic power. The oceanic climate with continental influences is conducive to its development.

One of Maison Cazals' assets is an exceptional parcel of land classified as Grand Cru in a delimited area: Le Clos Cazals, covering 3.70 hectares of old vines in the village of Oger.

Description Claude Cazals Cuvée Rosé.

Claude Cazals' Cuvée Rosé Grand Cru is an elegant and delicate champagne, made from a blend of Chardonnay from Oger and Pinot Noir from Verzenay. This cuvée reveals all the richness of the terroirs of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.

In the glass, the light salmon pink color is bright and clear, enlivened by fine, regular bubbles that testify to its delicate effervescence. The bouquet seduces with its fresh red and white fruits such as strawberry, cherry, and peach, enhanced by delicate floral nuances and a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, the frank and lively attack develops a silky texture. The immediate freshness and aromas unfold harmoniously and end with a long, slightly brioche-like and persistent finish.

A versatile and refined champagne, ideal as an aperitif or to enhance seafood, sushi, white fish, and even poultry dishes or soft cheeses.

The care we take when receiving wines in our cellars enables us to detect bottles with imperfections (dirty or faded labels, damaged capsules, etc.). In such cases, they are systematically set aside and never put online! Our preparation team selects only bottles with perfect presentation for your orders!

It is these bottles with slight external defects that we present to you in the "Existe en imparfaite" selection. These bottles are, of course, of "irreproachable" gustatory quality, but suffer from slight defects on the label or cap. We therefore offer them at a preferential price, making the pleasure of tasting them even more affordable.
