Charles Heidsieck

It was Charles Heidsieck, born in 1822, who in 1851 founded the Maison de Champagne that bears his name. With Champagne roots through his mother and his great-uncle, who founded the Heidsieck house in 1785, Charles grew up in the Champagne world, which gave him a formidable knowledge of the "Champagne" product.

This priceless heritage has been handed down from generation to generation to reach us today for our great pleasure
The House currently owns 65 hectares spread over the entire Champagne vineyard.
The house has won numerous awards from 1855 in Belgium to the present day, spanning 166 years with the prestigious SParkling Winemaker of the Year for many years.

Description Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve.

60 Champagne crus have been selected for this emblematic Charles Heidsieck cuvée.

However, 3 are truly the pillars of the Brut Réserve style:

  • Oger: (Grand Cru Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs) gives it its fleshy, generous notes.
  • Ambonnay: (Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims) is synonymous with power, structure and fruity notes.
  • Verneuil: (Meunier from the Marne Valley), ensures balance and a smooth texture.

Blended from 50% reserve wines, the long maturation of the wines in crayères gives it elegant, savory notes of freshly baked brioche, and ripe, sun-kissed fruits such as apricot, mango and mirabelle plum. After aeration, it finishes with nuts such as pistachio and almond.

The unctuous palate evokes the crunch of a layer of nougatine on a melting cream. The finish, thanks to its reserve wines, reveals vanilla notes and a touch of praline.

Enjoy as an aperitif with sweet and sour salmon, avocado and apple verines or Mirabelle muffins.
