The Brun family history goes back several generations, when Roger Brun, a passionate winemaker, decided to create his own Champagne house in 1952 in Ay, in the prestigious Montagne de Reims region. From the outset, Roger Brun set out to produce Champagnes of exceptional quality, paying particular attention to every stage of the process, from the vine to the bottle.

Over the years, the Brun family has passed on its winemaking know-how and heritage, and the house of Champagne Roger Brun has developed an enviable reputation in the world of Champagne. Today, the house is still run by members of the Brun family, who proudly perpetuate the values of quality, authenticity and respect for terroir.

Description Roger Brun Réserve Familiale Œnothèque 2012.

The Réserve Familiale Œnothèque 2012 cuvée from Roger Brun, made from parcels located on Grand Cru d'Aÿ, features a classic blend of two-thirds Pinot Noir and one-third Chardonnay.

The vinification of this cuvée is the result of a flexible and meticulous approach, adapted to each vintage. Also, while Chardonnay usually benefits from partial aging in small oak barrels, the 2012 vintage and its late frost resulting in very small harvests forced the Roger Brun house to proceed with full vinification in stainless steel tanks.

A confidential cuvée due to its low production, Réserve Familiale Œnothèque 2012 is a collector's Champagne, designed for connoisseurs who appreciate the ageing potential of great Champagnes.

Benefiting from a Extra brut dosage (6g/l), this cuvée offers a complex nose that exhales aromas of plum, butter, hawthorn and honey. The palate is remarkably round, with notes of apple and coffee. The freshness of the Chardonnay harmoniously prolongs the experience, balancing the power of the Pinot Noir.

This is an ideal Champagne to accompany foie gras or to end an evening on a high note in the company of a good cigar.

The very limited production of this cuvée makes it a treasure Rare, to be opened in privileged company.
